Connect your marketplaces

Authenticate your selling channels, verify the connection, and import carefully so the first sync reflects your real inventory model.

Connect one marketplace at a time.

Validate imports with a small sample before bulk work.

Use imports to seed inventory, not to replace it as the source of truth.

Authenticate securely

Use the marketplace connection flow in Xlistr to authorize each channel with the correct seller account. Tokens are handled for you so operators do not need to manage credentials manually after the initial connection.

When a connection succeeds, review the account name and any marketplace-specific settings immediately. Catching a wrong account at this stage is much easier than untangling imported listings later.

Connect your highest-priority marketplace first.

Confirm the account shown in Xlistr matches the seller account you expect.

Refresh permissions if a marketplace reports expired access.

Import with intention

Start with a small batch of listings so you can verify how titles, specifics, photos, and quantity data map into your internal inventory records. This gives you a safe checkpoint before a larger import.

Imported marketplace data should help you seed or refine inventory, but it should not become the long-term source of truth. Once the inventory record exists, continue managing stock there.

Test import a few representative items first.

Review whether variants need to be split into explicit internal records.

Check that imported stock matches what you physically have available.

Good import habit

Use one import pass to create structure, then make ongoing edits from the inventory side so channel listings stay consistent with the internal record.

Validate the first sync

After importing, inspect a few inventory items and compare them with their marketplace representations. Make sure marketplace-specific fields stayed separate from shared inventory fields such as stock and variant data.

If anything looks off, adjust the internal record before pushing more changes. Early validation protects you from repeating the same mapping issue across the rest of the catalog.

Review photos, price intent, and variant mappings.

Confirm marketplace listings point back to the correct inventory item.

Wait for background actions to finish before testing another large batch.
