Sales, costs, and profit

Review recorded sales and the costs that contribute to profit and margin.

Review a sale

Open Sales and find the item, platform, date, and external order or sale ID. Compare the record with the marketplace order when investigating a discrepancy.

Confirm that the sale belongs to the correct inventory item.

Use the external order ID to identify the transaction.

Check the corresponding stock and channel states separately.

Complete financial details

Review the sale price, item cost, platform fee, payment fee, and other fees. Profit and margin depend on the quality of those inputs.

Use actual fees when they are available.

Check whether the platform fee is marked as estimated.

Record additional deductions in the appropriate field.

Investigate differences

If totals do not match your marketplace settlement, compare individual sales and costs rather than adjusting inventory quantity to compensate for a financial difference.

Look for missing costs or estimated fees.

Check the marketplace order reference and sale date.

Include the sale reference when asking support to investigate.
